The slab also had an improperly installed waterproofing layer that had to be removed first. After that came leveling work to correct drainage flow, grinding across the entire surface, and then the epoxy system itself: base coat, flake broadcast, and polyaspartic topcoat. It was three to four days of work on a floor most guests should never have to think about, which is exactly the point in a hospitality setting.
