Art Epoxy Designs was hired to upgrade the gym flooring at The Castle Hotel in Miami Beach. As the hotel renovated its old fitness area, one of the most critical decisions was choosing the right flooring system. The previous surface had heavy glue buildup that made surface preparation extremely challenging and required extensive grinding before installation could begin.

Day 1: Intensive Surface Preparation
The team mechanically ground the surface to remove glue buildup and create a clean, properly profiled slab. A moisture vapor barrier epoxy was applied for added protection.
Day 2: Flake Application
Shoreline flakes were fully broadcast to create a durable, slip-resistant, and visually appealing surface.
Day 3: Final Sealing
A polyaspartic clear coat was applied to seal the system, providing strength, chemical resistance, and easy maintenance.
The renovated gym now features a clean, modern flake epoxy floor built to withstand heavy foot traffic and equipment use. The Shoreline blend enhanced the aesthetic while delivering durability and safety.
